SBA names Chesapeake "Family Owned Maryland Small
Business of the Year"
Chesapeake has been
selected by the Small Business Administration’s Baltimore District
Office to receive the 2010 Maryland Family Owned Small Business of
the Year award.
After
a rigorous evaluation process, we were notified on March 1, 2010
of our selection as the award recipient.
The award will be presented to Chesapeake at an awards breakfast on Friday, May 21, 2010 at Martin’s West in Woodlawn,
Maryland.

CMD, Baltimore-based Call Center provider,
named OAISYS “Installation of the Month”
Chesapeake recently installed an
OAISYS Tracer Screen Recording Server for CMD, a long
time OAISYS and Toshiba customer.
CMD,
which provides call center services for the healthcare and higher
education markets, originally deployed voice recording on a Toshiba Strata CIX back in 2006.
They use the recordings to monitor and grade their agents.
Desktop Screen Video,
captured by new Tracer screen recording software, is used to verify
information entered into the system and monitor agent activity during calls.
Adding screen recording capabilities required an upgrade to CMD's existing
Tracer software. Chesapeake worked with OAISYS to devise a plan that
minimized downtime and ensured that work took place outside normal business
hours.

The new Screen Recording Server
was used temporarily for voice while Chesapeake upgraded CMD’s original version 4 system.
We then moved the tap cards
back to the original hardware now equipped with version 6. The new Screen
Recording Server was then setup and configured the next day to immediately
begin desktop screen recording on the agents’ computers.
