Auto Dealership revs up business with new phone system
To coincide with its move to a new facility, Jaguar Land Rover Annapolis
wanted to replace its old phone system to keep up with emerging
technologies… now a new telecom and data network has their communications
running in high gear.
Chesapeake engineered an IP-capable Toshiba Strata CTX-670 phone
system with Voice mail to improve call flow through the dealership.
8-way conferencing enables impromptu team meetings, and Integrated
Paging improves customer response anywhere in the sprawling dealership.
Chesapeake coordinated an ISDN PRI supports the dealership’s voice
traffic and a Dedicated T1 provides Broadband Internet access. A
separate DSL at an Internet kiosk lets customers get online while
waiting for their vehicles to be serviced. A Wireless LAN supports
the dealership’s data networking needs, providing mobility for staff.
The dealership’s system administrator now has full control of the system
through a web-based management tool. Future plans include a
telework application to allow staff to enjoy a more flexible schedule,
and the Wireless LAN will support Voice over IP.
