Toshiba has introduced the Nurse Call System from IgeaCare, which leverages the capabilities of its Strata CIX system.

The Nurse Call System is connected to the Strata CIX, which serves as the communication network, eliminating redundant cabling required by traditional nurse call systems. The system addresses the communication needs of nursing homes, assisted living facilities and senior apartments.

- Peripherals such as pull cord and/or wireless pendant can be used to provide patient and/or residents with more peace of mind − that caregiver staff will respond whenever and wherever help is needed.

- A dome light shows the location of the emergency to the staff so they can react quickly.

- As an option, IgeaCare also provides tools to notify responders of an emergency via pager, cell phone, PDA, wireless phone, email, and audio alert.
