Philadelphia Phillies go to bat with Mitel

 

Baseball Spring Training facilities in Clearwater, FL are now linked to the Phillies' main phone system in Philadelphia.  Unified Communications connect over 400 front office, customer service, and ticketing staff.

How the Phillies scored …

The Phillies replaced an aging Nortel system with Mitel Communications Director software with such applications as Dynamic Extension, unified messaging, and contact center capabilities. They also deployed html-capable 5300 series IP phones for staff.

Dynamic Extension delivers single-number “reachability”, which simultaneously rings up to any 8 devices − whether a Mitel phone or not − in a personal ring group.

The Phillies also like the seamless hand off between devices.  With an extremely mobile workforce, especially during Spring Training season, Phillies staff previously used to need multiple phone numbers and voicemails.

Contact Center Solutions have been deployed for ticketing and customer service. The solution intelligently handles and retains callers in queue and directs them to the right call agents to handle their requests. Customized messages keep callers informed not only of wait times, but of special promotions, statistics, and upcoming games.

Toshiba has announced the availability of their latest round of innovations:

 

Net Phone updated to work with Windows 7 - Net Phone has now been updated to Version 6.4.2, which includes compatibility with the latest Windows 7 operating system. This allows your users to take advantage of all Net Phone features from PCs equipped with either the 32 or 64-bit version of Windows 7.

Low-priced Unified Messaging Solution for Strata CIX - Toshiba has launched 'Strata Messaging,' a new Unified Messaging solution running on its Linux Based Unified Communication Appliance − available at a very attractive low price. Strata Messaging supports from 2 to 8 voice mail ports, 400 mailboxes, and 300 hours of storage. Big company functionality for small company budgets!

Wireless DECT Phones work with CIX so you can move around the office - Toshiba has announced the availability of the Polycom KIRK SIP DECT Phone Series for small to large-size businesses. The KIRK Series telephones interoperate on Toshiba Strata CIX systems and offer comprehensive CIX features and extension dialing.
